Lisa M. Davis, L.Ac.
Lisa Davis has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine – including acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, tui na massage and Qi Gong/Longevity exercises – for the past 22 years. She is a graduate of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and received both her California State License and her Diplomat in Acupuncture Nationally in 1991. Lisa concurrently studied Cranial Sacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute in Florida, and received her Massage Therapist License through IPSB in Pacific Beach. She has studied the Internal Martial Arts of Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Hsing I and Ba Gua for the past 30 years, and is an Instructor with the NATSTA, where she chaired the TCM Committee for three years helping to create and teaching a Chinese medical program.
For the past eight years Lisa has been studying and practicing the ETMS’ protocol from herbalist Donald R. Yance Jr., who is a specialist in treating cancer naturally with herbal medicine and diet. Lisa has also completed the 3 year Advanced Somatic Experiencing training program, which is a Trauma Healing process developed by Dr. Peter Levine, Ph.D.
Lisa believes in a integrative approach to medicine and healing, and consults with Medical Doctors, Gynecologists, Oncologists, Orthopedic Surgeons, Naturopathic Physicians and other Health Care practitioners to create a wellness team as needed for the patients care.
Some of the most common conditions Lisa has successfully treated are neck, back, hip and joint pain, and sports injuries including pre-and post-surgical recovery. Migraines, allergies, digestive disorders, sciatica, neuropathy and Bells Palsy are also conditions that Lisa has experience treating with acupuncture and cranial sacral therapy. Lisa incorporates the NAET allergy clearing technique for patients with food sensitivities and allergies. She also has experience providing acupuncture, massage and nutrition for patients with cancer who are going through conventional treatment. She works with children, adolescents and adults.
Lisa specializes in Women’s Health and her passion is to support a healthy pregnancy, birthing process and post partum care. She has great success treating infertility as well as hormonal imbalances, fibroids, PMS, anxiety and insomnia. She works with infants soon after birth using cranial sacral therapy and massage to support their delicate systems.
After completing a thorough evaluation during the initial visit, Lisa creates a comprehensive treatment program using acupuncture, massage, cranial sacral therapy, herbal medicine, supplements, dietary therapy and exercise. She believes in supporting the patient’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being through encouraging harmony within one’s self and with the rhythms of nature. She offers educational programs to support her patient’s health and balance thru the seasonal cycles.
